I love when I get a call from a friend, family member, or reader that says, “Have you seen….? and you have GOT TO check out…!”
I LOVE looking at all the AMAZING, TALENTED, CREATIVE blogs out there, but I don’t get to blog stalk check out blogs as much as I’d like. So…. I’d like to introduce a new segment here at All Things Thrifty called “BLOG STALKING for BLUE RIBBONS.”
A few days ago, my sis in law Jess called me about these faux metal wall art pieces found at Suzy’s Sitcom. These bad boys are made out of TOILET PAPER ROLLS! 🙂 She deserves a blue ribbon.
Go check Suzy out and give her some love and comments! She has a great tutorial on how she created these bad boys.
Another reader left me a comment to check out an amazing Barbie House yesterday and I. was. BLOWN. away. I HAVE to show you this amazing Barbie House.
This house was found at Inside the Barbie Craftroom. My girls would go GA-GA over this!
The house started out as a High School Musical house that this great stay at home mom painted white. I don’t know her name…darn it! I love that she says, “My number 1 goal in completing this house was to not purchase anything new. I could only use what I had on hand.” I love the creativity and detail of this house. You must….must….go check out this site! She deserves a blue ribbon!
So, have you seen something that has BLOWN. YOU. AWAY? Send me a link to allthingsthrifty at gmail dot com. 🙂
Brooke!

Thank you so much for featuring my Barbie house project! (my name is Stephanie by the way~need to make sure I get that into my blog somewhere!) I had so much fun customizing this piece and have BIG plans to create a house from scratch using an old armoire that a friend gave me. I'll post about it on the blog as I work. Thanks again for the award ~ so appreciated!!

A big hello!
OMG! The Barbie house is sic. I absolutely LOVE the toilet tissue "iron" work plaques. I can't wait to go check out that tutorial. Thanks for sharing! Blessings
If you knew me, my project would totally blow you away. Because I am not experienced at all! My project was my idea… but my sister helped me a lot. I LOVE how it turned out though and it was VERY low budget.

i do not mean this mean! but i thought your doll house was the cutest thing, then you show that thing~ WOW, it's kind of funny looking at the 2 of them:)!
i love this new idea!
Kelly,
I KNOW huh! That Barbie house is the most extravagant Barbie house I have ever seen. I am TOTALLY impressed, and that is why I featured it. When I see something like that, I cannot resist showing it to you as well!
I'm not too sure if it is proper etiquette to nominate yourself for a Blue Ribbon Award. However, I have been marveling at my idea of transforming my leftover Christmas cards to year round magnets. Simple? Yes, but delightful all at the same time. I may not be quite suitable for a "Blue Ribbon", but I'd like to share with your readers regardless. Check out my Christmas card magnet transformation on my blog:
