Hi guys! Can you believe we are half way through January already? Where does the time go? We have been BUSY little bees around here, and if you are following along on Instagram, you know that it’s true!!
Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it, and I thought it’d be fun to do something heart-y and cheap to dress up my front door! Yes, I’m obsessed, and I love to change my door for the holidays.
{I have to admit, half way through making this Valentine’s wreath I got a little nervous but ended up totally happy with the results.} Ok… enough of that… Let’s get to it!
Tulle Heart Shaped Wreath
Supplies:
*A wire hanger
(any wire will do really! You just want something heavier than floral wire)
*2 yards of tulle.
*white ribbon

Step 1: Find a wire hanger. {This was no easy task I might add.} Ha!
Step 2: Shape that hanger into a heart!!!
(it might spring up at first but it will calm down after some moving around.)

Step 3:
Cut your tulle. I started by folding mine over itself, then cutting the strips. Mine were 6 inches.
Cut that in half again. (3 inches.)
Step 4: Start tying your tulle on. I just did a basic knot….
{Side-note: I know they look super long here and they were, but after I got down a ways,
I was just not diggin’ the way it looked!}
So that’s when I started cutting them smaller. Ah, much better!
{I just went back and cut the long ones down. Such an easy fix.}
Voila! Don’t you think it’s so cute?? I just love how it turned out!
Check out some of the other wreath projects that we’ve done. My lima bean wreath is one of my favorite projects of all time.
Do you have special plans for Valentine’s Day? I need ideas.
I hate wire hangers so much, that I have banished them all to our spare closet. To sit there, in hanger agony, not holding any clothes!
I never thought to use them as a base for a wreath. Maybe I'll get started on this tonight! Thanks for the inspiration!
Ali,
Your comment made me laugh!! I feel the same about wire hangers! Thanks for stopping by!
