Hello to all my Thrifty friends! It’s Gina from Kleinworth & Co. & I’m back today to share with you a quick little treat that is requested often in our house. Kit Kat Oat Bars have become the single thing that my hubs requests more than anything else. I usually give in because his all time favorite treat is oatmeal cookies. However, I rarely have time to make them for him. I feel bad – he loves them so much. But with the demands of all other things happening, it just doesn’t happen as often as he would like. So when I created these & he loved them- I knew I had a keeper recipe. It gives him the buttery oats he’s craving & I only have to spend a few minutes in the kitchen to create it. WIN-WIN for us all. So let me show you how you can make these for your family too.
Kit Kat Oat Bars are a simple, no-bake treat that you can whip up in minutes.
Buttery oats blended with the great crunch of chocolaty Kit-Kat make these a hit.
I think I will make these in a quadruple batch for our next social gathering.
This recipe is great for doubling & adapting to whatever you may need.
Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
3 cups quick-cook oats
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup Kit-Kat candy – chopped
Directions
Line a 9×9 glass baking dish with parchment & set aside
In a medium size saucepan- melt butter over medium
Add brown sugar & vanilla – stir until combined & brown sugar starts to melt
Add oats – stir to incorporate.
Cook on low 2-4 minutes
Remove from heat & transfer to prepared dish – pressing down into an even layer
Top with chopped Kit-Kat & press in slightly
Refrigerate at least 2 hours to set
Store at room temperature in an airtight container
Enjoy!!
