You guys, this is the CHOCOLATE-EST PIE you will ever taste. Oh. My. Deliciousness.
I haven’t made it for years, and I originally got the recipe from Dan’s cousin. But with Thanksgiving coming up, I HAD to share it with you.
Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Pie
Absolutely delicious chocolate pie that will put all others to shame!
Ingredients
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup chocolate chocolate chip cookie crumbs divided {If you cannot find chocolate chocolate chip cookies, you can use chocolate graham crackers}.
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream {I prefer the Darigold brand from Costco, it is waaaaay better than other brands IMO}
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions

Break up cookies into fine crumbs. In medium bowl combine 1 cup cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press into a pie plate. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Heat 1 1/2 cups of the cream just to boiling. Do not boil.

In blender, combine chocolate chips, 1/4 c sugar, eggs, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, and salt.

Add the hot cream to the blender and blend for approx 1 minute until smooth.

Pour chocolate mixture into pie plate and refrigerate at least 1 hour, but overnight is ideal.

Top with homemade whipped cream. <---I use 1 cup Darigold heavy whipping cream from Costco and whip on high until it peaks. Then add 1/2 cup powdered sugar to sweeten {or more or less depending on personal preference}.
