Fathers’ Day neighborhood idea

The struggle is real. I don’t think of creative things 3-6 months in advance. My brain does not work like that. I do admit that I bought a 12 pack of “Dad’s Root Beer” a few weeks ago from Costco because I thought it would be fun for the kids to take a few neighborhood dads a drink on Father’s Day. BUT, those didn’t last. {Ahem, thanks to my husband who started swigging them approximately 2 hours after I told him what they were for.

So, yesterday when I went to find Dad’s root beer around town at 7pm last night, they were no where to be found. So, I bought another brand of old-fashioned root beer and I made these labels this morning. Yes, I know, it’s too late for this year, but do me a favor and pin it for next year? šŸ™‚

The look on all the Dad’s faces were so great. They were surprised, and I could tell they felt special. That’s all I wanted the kids to see. That doing nice things for people can make them feel good and in turn helps us feel good too.

Here is the free printable. Right click, press save. šŸ™‚

It takes a village copy1

I printed them on Avery labels 5163 that are 2 inches by 4 inches, and placed a 3 inch paper border underneath that I bought at Micheals. I taped them in the back with clear scotch tape.

The paper is from Heidi Swapp, and I love her paper line. I got to listen to her speak at SNAP this year, and she made me laugh until I cried, and then she legitimately made me cry too. HA!

I hope you had a great Father’s Day and next time I’ll try and be at least a few days ahead of the holiday. No promises though.

xoxo,
