Hi All! It’s Gina from Kleinworth & Co. Are you getting excited for Easter? Seems it will be here before we know it. So I thought I would share with you today one of our all-time favorite desserts to make this time of year. Cadbury Egg Magic Bars!
Those little mini Cadbury Eggs with the hard candy shell, filled with chocolate have got to be one of my favorite Easter treats ever. Well, if I am being honest, they are on the top of my favorite candy list across all holidays & seasons. I can’t seem to get enough of them. Don’t get me wrong, those larger creme-filled eggs they make are near the top too. But they are messy & obviously, more than one bite if I want to mind my manners. 🙂 So these minis are really more my speed. A little more chocolate than an M&M with all the things I love about a bite-sized candy. Can you tell I have given this a LOT of thought? I take my candy pretty seriously.
So because I love them so much I usually have a whole lot of them in the house this time of year. When I’m not snacking on them at random times of the day, I’m making awesome treats with them too. It’s only natural & of course, all these goodies work great for after the holiday too when we have a whole lot of candy left over. Because, really, the kids can never seem to get through it in a reasonable amount of time.
Now with these I like to add some of the eggs to the top before baking. But I also like to add some after I pull them out of the oven. You see, the oven gives them a burnt marshmallow look, which I happen to like. But if you don’t, then I would add all the eggs just after baking. Whichever way you do it, these magic bars are over the top delicious. You just can’t go wrong with graham cracker crust loaded with nuts, chocolate chips, coconut & candy smothered in sweetened condensed milk & marshmallows. MMMMM – seriously- SO GOOD!
Thank you so much for spending some time with me today. See you next time!
