If you follow me on Facebook, you know that I am at the World’s Longest Yard Sale this week! GMC contacted me and asked me to participate in the GMC-OnStar Hidden Treasure Adventure where we get to decorate a home in Alabama for Habitat for Humanity. I. am. freaking. out. with excitement.
I honestly feel so blessed to have this opportunity. The last few days have been an absolute blast. We started our journey yesterday in Detroit Michigan and are on our way to Alabama.
On the map below you will see how far we’ve come so far. We are shopping along the way for a deserving family, and we are hunting for treasures.
My partner in crime is Lindsey from Better After and she is AWE-SOME!
Yesterday we drew which rooms in the house we get to decorate and I drew the kitchen/dining room and Lindsey drew the little boy’s room.
Has anyone ever been to the World’s Longest Yard Sale before, and if so, which places were your favorite?

I wish I could tag along for all the excitement. Too bad Illinois isn't included; you could pick me up along the way LOL.
Love your blog. I’m a lifelong antiquer, and am making my passion for antiques a full-time business by selling antiques online. I’m blogging about my experiences at my blog, Wisdom Lane Antiques: wisdomlaneantiques.blogspot.com. Stop by!
As a MI gal I would strongly recommend Port Huron MI. If you dig "sea glass" blue, go check out the water color of the St. Clair River. Lotsa good stuff at the garage sales too.

I think the kitchen would be my favorite room. Have fun!!!!
Eagle Lake Convention Center in Lawrenceburg, KY is a great stop, with air conditioning!!!
AWESOME rooms to do, can't wait to see all the great things you do in them!
Oooh, the Lawrenceburg stop sounds good to me! Yes Brooke, I am posting this at 12:48 am. I should probably get some sleep…
How exciting! You are doing one of the numbers on my bucket list and I'm green with envy. Can't wait to see your room – I'm sure it will be fabulous!
Have fun and drive safe! I can't wait to see all the treasures you find along the way!
What a perfect room for you! Those glass bottles are going to become something awesome…I can just feel it!
I am anxiously awaiting the reveal!
I even joined Twitter so I could follow along.
I've been enjoying seeing what you and Donna from Funky Junk are posting. Can't wait to see final pictures. Great job, Brooke!
I'm from Michigan and I've never heard of such a thing! Have fun!
