At 5:30 last night I rushed home to help Connelly {my 9 year old son} put the finishing touches on his Cub Scout Pinewood Derby car {that started at ahem… 6:00}. That’s how I roll unfortunately…last minute is my middle name. Dan and Connelly had such a good time working on the car together. Dan cut it out and then Connelly was in charge of sanding it until it was smooth. They decided to stain it instead of paint it this year, and I think it turned out awesome! Connelly wanted his car to be named “Derby Death” so we hooked him up with some cool vinyl to make it look the part. He chose spiders and skulls. Nothing screams “Derby Death” like spiders and skulls after all.
