I cannot believe the difference this flooring project is making in my home! The entire house is transforming right before my eyes. I hated my carpet with a capital C, and tearing it out has been years in the making.
Tearing out the tile was much harder than I originally realized it would be. Our backs are sore. The laundry is piling up, and our bed was in the kitchen for a few days, but we are making major progress!
Thank heaven for our zero-gravity chairs! The kids needed a place to sit. 🙂
The concrete floor makes it look ten times better already. If you would like to compare it to what our house looked like before check it out HERE.
Check out the blank floor slate, and don’t forget to check back for updates!
I am DYING to show you the floors! We are really close to being done, but I haven’t taken any photos yet. If you are following along on Instagram, you have already seen some sneak peeks!
Thank you for following along!
xoxo,
Brooke
I read back through your posts and I am so glad you chose a floating floor! You know by now how easy they are to install and if/when you get the itch in 2035 to change your again they are a snap to remove.
The sneak peek on Instagram is looking very good so far!
I do not want to be a hater BUT the amount of advertising (the side bar is so huge can’t even read the print on the blog,, total space advertising takes on this post over two thirds) .
REALLY.? So annoying! I will be u subscribing from your blog!
Donna, can you share what you are seeing? Will you send me a screen shot? That should not be happening. Are you reading from a tablet, phone, or desktop?
You are INSANE! What a huge undertaking! This is going to be so amazing when it’s done. It even looks kinda awesome as concrete… haha!
P.S… love your new watermark!
That is a lot of freaking floor to redo! I know it will look amazing but I know from just ripping out the tile in our kitchen how much work chipping it out is.
Also, I about died when I saw how big Connelly is. He looks like a teenager, where has time gone??!
Wow. I didn’t realize you were redoing ALL the floors. I’m so excited for the finished product!
