We are knee deep in a bathroom remodel right now, and I am so excited how it’s coming so far.
We are painting over the aqua, and giving it a more modern clean look. I am so excited! Here are a few before pictures to remind you what it looked like before we started ripping out the tile! If you follow us on Instagram, you saw us ripping out the tile yesterday on our Instagram story. By the way, you should follow us on Instagram is you haven’t already. I promise I am not the type that posts one million stories a day. But we do share little snippets of what’s going on behind the scenes that you may like.
We did a small renovation on this bathroom two years ago, so you can see how drab in began at in that post by clicking HERE, but I am super excited to do a little more of an actual GUT on this bathroom this time. Although I will say, that getting the mirror off the wall today was where true nightmares come from. Holy shiz that was coo-coo-ka-choo nutso. I cannot believe how much glue was behind that thing.
We are getting a new vanity, ripping out the tile, replacing the lighting and even getting a new toilet.
Here is the fun bathroom vision that I’m planning to mimic.
I’m excited for it to not feel dingy in there! It’s nearly 9 years old, so the cabinet shows major wear and tear at this point. The vanity that we chose is this one from the Martha Stewart collection from The Home Depot:
It’s called the Seal Harbor Vanity for those who are curious. I’m excited to get rid of the laminate counter top because then I won’t be so worried about one of my girls melting it with their curling wand. This bad boy has a quartz counter top! YAY. Isn’t it cute!?! I love the white and the cute country feel, and I think it’s going to be so cute with some shiplap behind it! š
Then we are redoing all of the faucets and towel bars with the Delta Porter Oil Rubbed Bronze collection from the Home Depot too.
The tile is this CUTE hex tile from Daltile {It’s called the Prologue Matte White Ceramic Dot Mosaic.}
But my favorite thing miiiiight be this new tarnished pub-looking light fixture! Isn’t it cool and industrial looking!?! I love the brass accents, but I also love the dark areas too. I think it will go nicely with our new faucets and hardware.
I am LOVING round mirrors lately, so I bought this cool simple round mirror from Home Depot online. I’m really excited for it to get here.
We are getting a new toilet because…ummm… KIDS. HAHA, and I think I’m going to make a really cute shower curtain myself. So, wish me luck and I cannot wait to reveal it in the next few weeks!
xoxo,
Brooke
PS. Can summer be OVER already? I’m turning into a beast because my kids are fighting all the time, and I can’t handle it anymore. Rant over. š
I just ripped of f the baseboards in the kids’ bathroom. It was the first step to commit to gutting the bathroom.
Now I just need to know how to unload a bathtub! ha! laura
