Coconut Caramel Baked French Toast
Step by Step instructions how to make this delicious baked french toast recipe.
Ingredients
Baked French Toast
- 2 Baguettes I like the baguettes from Costco best.
- 1.5 cups Milk I use 1%
- 1.5 cups Coffee Mate Coconut Cream can use half and half also
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 6 Large Eggs or 8 medium eggs
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Caramel Drizzle
- 1 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup salted butter
- 3 tbsp light corn syrup
Instructions
-
Cut your baguettes into 1 inch slices
-
Layer baguette slices into a deep 9X13 inch pan. I like to use the disposable tin foil pans because they are extra deep.
-
Mix together eggs, milk, half and half {or coffee creamer}, vanilla, and cinnamon
-
Pour egg mixture over the baguettes
-
Cover with tin foil and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Overnight is ideal. If you don't have a lot of time, I like to switch the rows of baguettes about half way through to give both layers the chance to saturate.
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Caramel Drizzle
-
Add all three ingredients into a medium saucepan on med-high heat until it bubbles throughout.
-
Pour caramel over the baguettes and bake immediately
-
Bake for 40 minutes
Serve
-
Serve with favorite syrup, whipped cream, berries, bananas, and dust lightly with powdered sugar.
