My sister Natalie is one of the most creative people I know. She has always been one of those “good at everything” people, and I love to see her creations. Last week, she sent me these photos of her adorable Halloween Crafts that she whipped out of mid air in less than a day. Aren’t they ADORABLE!?!? I love how comfortable she is with power tools, and I envy that quality. She has her own set of saws and nailer, and can create crafts in a snap!
She cut the darling creatures out of 1/2 inch MDF and if you are a seasoned reader around here at All Things Thrifty, you know how CHEAP MDF is. For an entire sheet of the stuff, it costs right around $20.00ish. So, think of all the projects that would fit on a 4 foot by 8 foot sheet!
What a great way to spruce up your porch for the holiday!
I love how each creature has dimension because of the way she put them together. She used black hot glue to make the mouth of Frankenstein.
She used loop screws to hang them with a simple piece of ribbon.
I think the skull is my personal favorite.
Maybe she should make me a set!?!? Don’t you think she should?…come on, help me out here, tell her to make me a set!! Maybe if there are enough of us that want them I could convince her to mass produce these bad boys. Don’t you wish you could just wave a magic wand and whip something like this out? Well, she can! LOVE EM!
I think they are super adorable. Do you think your crafty sister might be making some just as cute for Christmas? Wouldn't they be fun! And by all means of course she should do a set for her super sis! Share and share alike. That's what sisters are for!
Put me on the list! I love them!!!
Super cute! I have some extra MDF in the garage!
So cute! I wish I knew how to use power tools! And I wish I had some… These are adorable!
SO CUTE!!! Did she use a jigsaw to cut these out? And could you let us know the dimensions! I'd love to make a set of my own!!! š
Dear Brooke's Sister,
You know that you have used many an idea from Ms. Thrifty herself, so you should share the love! It would be the thing that a GOOD sister would do.
love your guts

Of course she is talented! Those are really cute. If she can just whip some up in a day, surely she can whip you up some. š
Does she have a tutorial on how to do it? They are SUPER SUPER adorable!
Who just whips these out?!? Seriously. I have a love/hate feeling right now. I am in love with these!
These are so adorable! I too would like to know what was used for the amazing spotted finish?
Hi Sherrie. Thanks for stopping by. For this look, get an old toothbrush and put a little bit of white paint on the end. Use your finger to pull back the bristles and spray the paint across your crafts. It’s hard to explain but try it, and hopefully you can figure it out. Try it on something unimportant first to get the hang of it first. š
Love them!!!
