Every third Thursday of every month, Home Depot holds a DIH {Do-it-herself} Workshop. It’s a hands-on workshop to practice your DIY skills, and use power tools with the pros.
I got to lead one of these fun workshops last week in West Valley City, Utah, and it was a BLAST! Check out these fun signs that one of their associates made for the event! Shout out to April the artist from store 4406!
I’ve never had my name on a poster like this before, and I’m not going to lie, it felt like my name was in lights! Thank you to everyone from store 4406 for making me feel welcome {X100}!
They even made me my own Home Depot apron! I’m keeping it forever.
We made two rolling carts that night, and each lady had the chance to get her hands dirty and help! It was so fun to see gals use power tools that had never had the chance before. I said this that night, but all it takes is PRACTICE and you will be much more comfortable holding that nail gun, drill, saw…etc.
Thank you for everyone who attended. I hope you had as much fun as I did! Thanks again for having me!
Before one of you smarties point this out, yes I am aware that we measured wrong on our top tray. In all the hustle and bustle of the night, we mis-measured. BUT, it’s not hard to remove screws and move that top tray up an inch. {I’m just keepin’ it real, folks}.
I’m excited to attend more of these DIH workshops in my area!
The rolling cart project is so versatile! It can be used in so many different aspects of your home! We made ours for our kitchen. If you are interested in making one of your own, ask the associates at your local Home Depot for help!

I went to Home Depot and helped to build the cart! It was a great experience, and using new tools was the best part!
Who’s the dork next to you who kept her safety glasses on long after we were done building? I guess I just didn’t want it to end… 🙂 It was such a fun night, and I ordered a kit to make my own cart. I’m going to pick it up tonight and I can’t wait to get started! I’ll show you how it turns out!
That is so cool!! We called about 5 Home Depot’s in our area about this DIY workshop and none of them could help us! I was so bummed I missed it! But I’m glad you were able to host one; that is so cool!
Looks so fun! Wish I could have come! I would love love love this $500 gift card!! Then I could get all the Ryobi tools and not have to borrow yours anymore!!! 🙂
