Hi brooke- 2 things: can you come to Denver and show us how to make this? :0) And, would you consider linking this to Friday Favorites that goes live Thursday night at http://imnotatrophywife.com
So cool! You nailed it! laura
What a great idea! I love it!
Will you be posting the directions/supplies needed for this project for those of us not in your area?
I love this and can think of several uses for it!
Thanks a bunch!
duh…never mind! I just found where I can sign up at the store in my area!
Well, you sure did a heck of a fantastic job! I’d love to have one of those. (Do you own a big electrical saw? Those kind of scare me.)
Brenda
Hi Brenda! Yes, I do, and after a few practices, it isn’t scary anymore. You can do it!
If you have a saw of your own, there are so many more projects you can do! But, remember If you don’t have access to a power saw, an associate at Home Depot can make most cuts for you, and when you are buying the material there, it is usually FREE.
I just registered! I have the perfect spot for this cart in my kitchen, and I can’t wait to make one!
We live in Montgomery, AL……will there be a written tutorial?
Yes, but there might be one in your area too! A bunch of my blogging friends are also doing DIH workshops worldwide. Look into it and you might be surprised!
How much does it cost for the supplies to make this darling cart?
The cost is right around $100 for all the supplies. š
Do you get to make one or is the workshop just directions about how to make one?
I am also a bit confused. I regestered for a workshop in my area, but likewise, I don’t understand if I get to MAKE a cart there. I am ONLY intereseted if I can MAKE a cart. I notice there is NO COST, but would like an idea of the cost of the materials to know better if I can affornd the item. Please pass on to Home Deport the details are SKETCHY and incomplete.
Andrea,
No, everyone does not make their own cart. We will, however, be doing a presentation that is hands on. So we will have attendees help with certain steps to learn how to do them. We will also be doing several giveaways for Home Depot credit also. So, to answer your question, no, all attendees do not make their own carts at these events. But there are goodies, friends, and a fun project to participate in. š Any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
For the supplies, it cost right around $100 for everything.
LOVE this, Brooke! I am so sad I don’t live closer–would love to go to your DIH workshop. I want a pretty, pink glam cart!!!
What a cute project!! Wish I had room for it in my kitchen. It would be handy in so many other places, too.
Say Brooke…. I might consider revising the language in your blog a bit….
You invite people to come out and make the cart., which although clearly un-intentional, was a bit misleading (to me at least) in how I read it… since you actuallyl “learn to make the cart”.
Also, even after e-mailing and calling Home Depot, they were unable to tell me the cost of the materiasls to create this myself. I am glad you could identify it in your comments as this is VERY helpful to me.
I wondered, if I do NOT have a power saw, can I still make this cart on my own? I would be very appreciative to Home Depot if they could include all of this useful information more readily. The whole idea is VERY COOL and I hope it goes well.
Thank you for the advice. I didn’t mean to mislead people. Hopefully I have fixed this.
You don’t need to post this publically.. but YES you definately fixed it and I didn’t mean to be offensive in ANY way, but rather hoped it would be helpful and THANK YOU for taking it that way. I enjoy your blog. I very much am excited to see the post-event post about the workshop. What fun and TAKE CARE!!!
