Easy Flocked Christmas Tree Instructions

Are you loving a good Flocked Christmas Tree as much as I am lately!?!

I remember my Grandma M always has a flocked Christmas Tree at her house. I loved it, and it’s kinda fun to see the trend come back. Easy Flocked Christmas Tree Instructions

My friend Karen and I have been chatting about flocking our trees for a few weeks, and she ordered the kit from Season’s Reflection.  But, I’m a natural procrastinator, and a little impatient, so I kept putting off ordering the flocking she did.

Well, the other day I went to Wal-Mart for groceries, and I found a can of “Santa Snow” in the Christmas section. I couldn’t help myself. I HAD to try it.  It was only $1.50/can in the store but, on Walmart.com online it’s much more expensive at about $8.99 per can.  So if you don’t have a Walmart nearby, buy it online from Home Depot, it’s only $3 per can!

I don’t know the difference between the cans, but I’m guessing they are very similar.

My can from Walmart looked like this:

The cans at Home Depot look like this

Since I was scared to ruin our new trees that we just bought, I grabbed a cheap 3 foot cashmere artificial tree from Walmart to try it on.  I figured I could use it on my new porch after we move in three weeks. But, I also figured that if the Santa Snow didn’t work, I was only out $20  for the tree + $1.50 for the can of snow.

I was SHOCKED how easy it was. It took me less than 3 minutes to spray onto the branches, and it made each branch look lightly coated with snow. The spray snow comes out of the spray can kind of frothy, so it doesn’t coat too much at a time.

How to flock your Christmas Tree easily

BUT, if you are wanting a more traditional flocked look with more of a piled look, I would suggest to do the flocking product that my friend Karen did.

The only problem is that it’s sold out for the 2017 season! Say WHAAAAA??? So if  you plan to flock your tree next, year, pin this image to save it for next year!

Her tree looks amazing, and she said it took less than 30 minutes from start to finish.

So hopefully this gives you two great options to work with in the future! I think I will probably use the SnoFlock next year on my big tree and the spray for my wreaths and garland!

Happy Flocking!

Let me know if you have questions, and I will try my hardest to answer them quickly.

    1. It’s pretty permanent! The SnoFlock does come off a little, but as long as you seal it with water and let is dry for 24-48 hours before moving it, my friend Karen said she hasn’t lost very much at all!
