Hi all! It’s Gina from Kleinworth & Co. Has the heat settled in where you are yet? We are fortunate that it’s still hit or miss here. It will be a while before we are consistently hot & I actually have to turn on the AC. But just a few short years ago, we were still living in Southern Nevada. So we sure know a thing or two about hot summers. So, of course, I have a whole bunch of easy to make, frozen recipes to help us stay cool. But my absolute favorite ones are the simple recipes that are so effortless that even the kids can make them for themselves. Gotta love that, right?!
I must have a half-dozen different pop molds & every time I pick up a new set I’m inspired to come up with some new & creative ideas. However, these easy popsicles are the ones I keep coming back to because they are only 2 ingredients. Just ready-made Kool-aid & another packet of powdered Kool-aid. It’s an easy way to change up the flavors by mixing & matching all the different varieties available. So I’m always putting a new twist on these classic flavors. My son loves strawberry & kiwi flavors mixed together, so we started there & then added our fruit punch. So good & of course kids love it!
Our favorite thing was to prepare these in the morning & let them freeze. They would be ready by the afternoon, just in time to head over to our friend’s pool across the street. We would go through several sets while chilling in the floating seats in the pool. When it’s 100+ degrees, really the only way to spend the day is floating in the pool, wearing a big floppy hat & enjoying a popsicle. It certainly was a fabulous & delicious way to cool off.
