Do you have plates and plates of treats on your counter from neighbors? We do. Our neighborhood rocks. We have a few traditions as a neighborhood family that I absolutely love. Every year we get together and donate money for a good cause. I love that this is our first priority as a neighborhood. There’s just something about serving others that brings the spirit of Christmas. This takes the place of “neighbor gifts.” It makes things simple and easy, and I love that it focuses on the true meaning of Christmas instead of the hustle and bustle of this time of year. But, we still get a few plates of treats here and there, and of course we won’t complain about that!
My little family has our own tradition for our neighbors. Every year our family puts together a list of Christmas songs to share with our friends and neighbors. We love to decide as a family which songs will be included on our list each year. Sometimes we decide to keep a song for the next year and sometimes we don’t. I thought it might be fun to show you our playlists from the last few years. I’m always searching for fun songs to listen to, and it definitely makes our home “feel” more Christmas-y. Yep, “Christmas-y” is a word apparently. So, without further adieu, here is our Christmas Playlist for 2012:

Thanks for sharing this list. I've been listening to each one while working. It has lifted my working spirits this afternoon! Many songs I've never heard and love them all. Thanks!
Apparently this song list is perfect to play lego star wars to, because my six year old just said "this music is perfect for me" Haha. Thanks Then he sang every word to When Christmas Comes to Town. It was so adorable. Thanks!!
YAY!! My neighbors are so funny. They have been on my case this year saying, "WHERE is your new Christmas CD!?!" They love it. It has become a tradition that they look forward to, and that makes me sooo happy! I'm working on getting it out to them as we speak! I'm glad you like it!
Apes, that makes me happy. Of course your six year old can sing. DUH! Singing is hereditary in your family. 🙂 You are one amazing singer {I found that out when we were singing to Mandi for her Room Makeover contest!!} xoxo
