Gift ideas for Friends, Teachers, and Neighbors Day 6

Yo, yo, yo!! I went out to dinner with a few girly friends last night and it was a BLAST! We stayed up talking until 3am. It was so fun, and I love talks like that! But, now I’ll be “paying” for my lack of sleep for several days. Do you know what I’m talking about!?!? It was worth it to get some much needed girl talk, but if I’m yawning as we speak! HA!

I finally gave my annual Christmas CDs to a few of my besties last night. I know I’ve said this before, but for some reason I cannot get on top of things this year! But, every year, we put together a CD of our favorite Christmas songs and give it to our friends. So, today I’m continuing the 30+ Gift ideas Series at number 28!

28. A custom Christmas CD. {This is our version of the “mixed tape” and our neighbors LOVE IT!} They look forward to it every year. I just wish I had gotten it ready earlier in December so they could enjoy it a little longer!

  1. Brooke,

Wow, what great gift ideas! Thanks so much for these quick, thrifty and creative ideas! I’ll be sure to use one or more in the future, but today I had to pop in and thank you for your color washing tutorial (Wilding Wall bed, May 2011). Because of your inspiration and easily followed explanations, I was inspired to create barn red color washed book shelves for my teenage son. (He needs the storage and won’t care how awful they look.) Just completed the second coat of polycrylic, and I wouldn’t and couldn’t have done it without your help and encouragement. I won’t post pics because it looks like a beginner DIY that only this mother loves, but I made an attempt, and for that I am grateful to you. So thank you again. Happy Holidays and an awesome 2014 to you and your family.

    1. *Gasps* Thank you for the response! Capped off a wonderful holiday. You rock!

P.S., Sonshine loves the shelves. He’s already arranged their contents to suit him, lol.
