I’ve been working on my girls’ room for six months. Okay that’s a lie. I’ve been working on it for over a year. {Shhhh, don’t t tell them that this isn’t normal}. They are used to living a disheveled life with their mattresses on the floor. When we moved in to our new house three years ago, I had just bought bunk beds. Well, the girls’ room has angled ceilings, and we couldn’t use the beds stacked. I sold them in February or March because the room is the biggest bedroom in the house besides the Master Bedroom, and I decided that it was better spacial planning to have full-size beds instead of twins. I made that decision and as a result I had to wait to finish the room until I could afford to buy another full mattress. Baby steps are ok sometimes, right?
So until recently, the girls thought it was the coolest thing ever that their mattresses were on the floor. After all It was fun to play gymnastics on them.
Now their full-size mattresses are perfect for the space. The room started out with a dot theme, and has stayed the same from the get go. I am really excited to show you a partial reveal today of what I’ve been working on! I say “partial” reveal, because you are going to LOVE what we do next, but I couldn’t wait to show you what we’ve done so far!
I wish I had better before pictures, but since my computer died it is hard to find all of my old photos right now.
I hope you like it because I sure do, but, remember, we aren’t done!

I know how it is trying to "finish" a room….still working on my 8 month old sons nursery! Maybe I will be done by the time he is ready for a "big boy room" and then I can start over again! 🙂
