Hi! Fancy Farmgirls here.
Some have accused me of being “cheap”
In the frugal sense of the word!
So these vases were a big “splurge” from Costco eons ago
for a gift, to me, from me, love me, for Mother’s Day!

It was the era of all things gold, red and black.
Remember that? 🙂
So the roosters and greenery that surrounded them have moved on, but there they’ve stayed atop my cupboards for far too long and I was a bit tired of them.
Yes, Costco is a splurge for me for home décor.
Looking around my home, 90% of all home décor is thrifted or from a yard sale.
So thanks to a few inspiration pics. I can hang onto them and rework them into something that I like again.
to me, from me, love me…. again!

Cream and gold dipped, of course!
The table is from Goodwill for six buckaroos and has spent it’s fair share of time waiting with “the stash” in the garage.
So first things first I spray painted the top portion of the vases a light cream color.
Let dry and then using painters tape so that you don’t ruin the new paint, tape off the lower portion
and cover top portion with saran wrap to avoid overspray.
Then “dip” (spray paint) the bottom portion and
Ta da! We are back in the style game.
And could somebody mow the yard already?!
The table was painted a fun bright aqua and distressed,
because nothing makes it out of our hands without!
And I almost didn’t make it out of this shoot without goat inflicted trauma!
So, if your décor is looking tired and your wanting something “new”,
pull out the paint supplies and make it happen!
