I’m so excited to show you what we have planned for our guest room! You may already know, but we LOVE guests. I even wrote a post about the 36 guest room essentials that every guest room should have! In our new house, we actually have two guest rooms, and this will be the second room that we tackle in this house. We started with our daughter Oaklyn’s room, and it turned out so cute! Slowly and steadily we are making progress!
We are tackling the guest room next because my friends at FrogTape ® are hosting their annual Paint Over Challenge for charity, and I am so excited they invited me to participate! Basically they invite a group of bloggers to redo rooms and compete to win $10,000 for a charity of your choice! If I win, I am donating the $10k to Juvenile Diabetes!
As soon as the room is complete, I will be asking for your help to win! So be ready to vote soon! The contest will start on May 21st!
I’m tackling my guest room for this challenge, and I’m going all out!! The room looks like this:
It’s doing it’s job, but it needs some personality since it’s a blank slate. I have a $1000 budget and I’m excited to show you what we have planned! The trend I was assigned is called “Made with Love:” This is a livable and lovable design that is hand-crafted, handmade and imperfectly perfect. This is the true essence of DIY. Creating warm and cozy spaces that are customized and made just for you! Introduce a nubby woven blanket, crocheted/macramé wall hanging, ivory plates on a lavender accent wall. These small, personal touches transform just any room to “your” room.
I’m thinking brick, color galore, and functionality for guests is a must, and of course we will be using our favorite painter’s tape to do the job!
Thank you FrogTape® for inviting me to participate in this fun challenge! Stay tuned for more progress soon!
xoxo,
Brooke
Exciting! Good luck – can’t wait to see what you do!
Thank you!! XOXO
