The DIH Workshop project in September is a fun one.
Look at this cute wooden pumpkin treat holder! Pumpkins are kind of big around here. I won’t distract you with pictures of my hubby’s insanely fabulous Pumpkin Carvings, but when you have a minute, you should check them out.
We are known as the pumpkin house on Halloween. We have embraced it {even though we know it’s kinda weird.}
As you can imagine, I was excited when I saw that the project was Halloween related until…. The Home Depot challenged me to build the project for the GUEST ROOM! …Chew on that for a minute.
…chewing…
…chewing…
HA!
I have a million ideas of how to customize the project for my front door or patio, but, the guest room is going to be tricky.
It’s on guys. I’m gonna figure out something fabulous.
Do you have any ideas? I have a few up my sleeve already, but tell me how you would incorporate this project into the guest room!
Register to attend a DIH Workshop in your area!
I will be at Home Depot store number 4413 in SLC on Sept 17th for the DIH Workshop that night!
If you are in the area I would love to meet you!
The address is:
3398 S. Highland Drive
Salt Lake City Utah 84106
Don’t forget to give me ideas for the project in the guest room!

Brooke

These would be perfect for holding complimentary travel toiletries in a guest room!
Brooke, use it as a holder for autumn flavored snacks, or autumn scented toiletries. Then add magazine(s) with colorful foliage photos, and a list of seasonal highlights of places to visit and things to do in your area. Then tie a big bow around the stem and offer the whole pumpkin to your guests at the end of their stay to remind them of their time with their generous hosts… at ‘THE Pumpkin House’. 😉 Good luck! (Not that you need it, hehe)
I see this pumpkin working really well as a planter box in the guest room. I like the idea of having travel toiletries in it, but I can better picture this on a windowsill with lovely dark green plants in it, or on the dresser with potato vine growing out of it.. Good luck with whatever you choose!
I wonder if you could put the box on the back and make a seasonal night light out of it. Or make a mini version for the nightstand that holds a few pieces of candy with some cute wording.
