I am so excited to finally announce what I’ve been working on with my friends at Rust-Oleum for the past few months! They are introducing their first ever Color Watch 2019 spray paint palette and just in time for spring. The collection of approachable colors is meant to empower DIYers, help them express their creativity and create inspiring projects for an affordable price! And honestly, I am just so excited that bright colors are making a comeback! For the past few years, subtle hues and neutrals have been at the forefront, but I love that moody darks, bright brights, and new neutrals are inspiring upcoming trends! But what I love the most is how easy it is to incorporate these colors into your space with an inexpensive project! I had the opportunity to do just that with each of the nine spray paint colors to prove how easy it can be! But, before I show you the projects, take a look at the 2019 Color Watch Trend Colors! Adding pops of color can make a HUGE impact in just about any room. I really think there is something to be said about bringing an old piece back to life with a quick coat or addition of gorgeous spray paint! Still aren’t convinced? Let’s take a look at a few of the projects I’ve been working on below…
2X Ultra Cover Pink Peony: I spray painted a pink stripe on a $20 lamp and it added just the right amount of pink to this nightstand.
Stops Rust Tuscan Sun: This $35 pendant barn light was easy to spray yellow and added the perfect touch to this modern white kitchen!
2X Ultra Cover Midnight Blue: This navy blue chair is our most expensive project, but still only cost $65! This office was the perfect way to prove that a moody navy is a new neutral and a show-stopper all at the same time!
2X Ultra Cover Silver Lilac: I love this glam silvery purple! It was simple to paint two glass topiary jars to add a glamorous look to this foyer! This affordable project cost less than $25 total!
2X Ultra Cover Smokey Beige: Painting a simple $10 planter, gave this plant a new life and added the perfect perch in this lively teen bedroom!
2X Ultra Cover Deep Forest: I love the BOHO look, and painting this $20 basket with a moody green was the perfect way to add that vibe to this room!
Stops Rust Coastal Gray: Gray is going strong, and I love how it pairs well with warm tones and cool tones! These candlesticks were a little on the pricey side at $25 each, but they add an elegant touch to this upscale living room mantle.
Universal Satin Bronze: These small ceramic houses were the perfect find to add some metallics to this shelf. Each cost less than $5 and look great as bookends!
Stops Rust Fire Red: A spray painted lantern was the perfect way to showcase this fiery bright red! By adding this adorable lantern to this kitchen shelf, it added a fun spin to this vintage style!
I’m obsessed with the palette, and I love how much research the Rust-Oleum team put into these selections. They spend countless hours watching color trends at trade shows, the fashion world, and of course home decor trends to ensure that they can provide the widest selection of spray paint colors for their customers.
Over the next few months, I will get to show you some fun ways to pair some of these colors together! Stay tuned for more!
xoxo,
Brooke
I luv how your DIY makeovers have such a fresh modern vibe. Usually with DIY , the style is typically modern farmhouse but your style suits mine so much better. Thx for the inspiration !
