Hi! Fancy Farmgirls, Marg and Liz here.
Who’s got the spring clean/purge going on?
The nice weather is settling in, (apologies if your still in snow). š
Which means it’s time to purge the disaster that we call our coat closet.
(And I was sure I took “before” pics but apparently I just shared it on our Instagram stories, so please excuse the screen shots).
Behind these curtains was a whole lotta “real” life. This is well into the purge.
Socks anyone? If your willing to rifle through two bins of chaos you might get lucky! You’ll have to check it out on our stories to see how “real life” bad it was.
But no more!
We squeezed in what personality we could into a tight space and it feels so much more welcoming as you first enter our home.
A welcoming message as you enter….
and a subtle one as you leave. š
We started by adding a whitewashed brick wallpaper from Milton and King Here
It’s called “soft white brick”.
Love the immediate texture it adds as a backdrop.
Next we used the genius light hack to add some light where no electrical was available.
Puck lights for the win followed by a coat of Rust-Oleum metallic gold spray paint.
Our favorite gold spray paint!
And should the dreaded sock basket return it gives task lighting to a small area.
See the$12 faux light hack Here
And fairy lights because everything is better with fairy lights!
Come 3:30 pm things will get messy around here once backpacks and kiddos enter the scene, but here’s to hoping that the cuteness will outweigh the chaos.
And speaking of cuteness…
and chaos…..prep work is going down!
It’s almost time for the Fancy Farmgirls Barn Sale!
We’d love to see you there!

Really cute and fun! I love the brick… it looks SO real!
