Does your husband hate me? It’s ok, you can be honest. I’ve heard it dozens of times, “Would you quit changing your house? Now my wife thinks we need to change OURS!”
Although Dan is mostly supportive of my crazy ideas, last time I went to IKEA with him, I started arranging frames on the ground at the store. Dan’s reaction? “What are these frames for? What wall do we even have left to decorate!?!” I didn’t have it in my heart to tell him that decorating for me is a never-ending process {after 12 years of marriage, you would think he would know that}. He’s a typical man and he finally just nodded and smiled.
I’m kind of a freak when I’m shopping. I’m a visual person, so I need to see things laid out in front of me. Don’t mind me, I’m just taking up the aisle for a few minutes.
What happens in this brain of mine is complicated at times, but I had an idea for the wall where our gallery wall used to be, so in order for me to follow up on that idea, I needed to change the gallery wall to the other wall first. One step at a time, I change things around on a constant basis. In my opinion, life is practice!
For a few weeks, the frames from IKEA lived in our garage because Dan was not convinced that they were necessary {again, typical man}. Plus, he HATES when I hang pictures without him. I wonder why…
So I took extra precautions to help him achieve my vision…{The wall looked like this for two weeks}.
Slowly and surely he was on board. He hung the pictures himself so that he wouldn’t have to fill all the unnecessary holes down the road.
I love the molding boxes! It adds so much to the room!
I made the “Life is Lovely” printable myself.

I found the colorful geometric patterns from Trina Turn fabric swatches. I am drawn to her fabric designs, so I just printed them off to add color and spunk. I got the rose painting at a local thrift store for $8.00. The map is a cardstock scrapbook page from Michaels, and the “polishing the stars” art is from HERE.
I love this saying and I got it from The Brave Girls Club.
Now that the gallery wall has been moved to the other wall, the original wall is free to fulfill my idea! Stay tuned. God Bless the USA.

Brooke
Thanks for the printable! I will definitely be using it…and posting it on my blog too! When people ask me how I am doing I always say “lovely!” It’s better than “good” and it takes people off guard and they have to stop and think about what I just said… so the printable is picture perfect.
I absolutely LOVE it! My favorite is the beautiful rose painting. What a great find!! & of course I love all the uplifting sayings! Well done, sis!! (:
Looks awesome lady!
Great wall! And funny post.
I love the wall! The colors are fantastic! If I had a nickle for every time I changed things up in my house lol!
Love the wall! Do you ever use the 3M Command strips instead of nails? I feel like I can never get my pictures aligned right if I used nails!
What color is your wall? I love it!
Love your gallery wall! And I too need to know the color on the wall. It looks great! Thanks!
Thank you! It’s called Hazy Stratus by Valspar!
Love your floor arrangement at IKEA! I shared on my FB page today;)
how much did all the frames cost?
I am desperate to get a gallery wall going. In fact I think I will make that happen this week! It’s just so hard for me to make myself invest in frames but it must be done! Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the patterns and printables you used. They provide great pops of color! I’ve been working on putting a gallery wall for our house also, so I’m taking notes from yours 🙂
I am in love with the “families are forever” and SLC temple prints – where did you find them?
