Hi All! It’s Gina from Kleinworth & Co. How is your summer going so far? We are soaking it in & really enjoying the warmer weather. In fact, we were able to bug on out for a whole week & take the camper to the beach. It has been probably over a decade at least since we were able to break away for a vacation that was longer than a weekend & didn’t include work. To say it was wonderful is an understatement. One thing we made while we were camping…these Snickers Cake Mix Bars. They are a super easy dessert recipe that takes only a handful of ingredients & are so simple to make.
I love these because not only are they easy, but they make great use of all the candy we always have around. It is one thing to enjoy some candy. But there is something about having a super soft & chewy cake mix bar that is stuffed with melted & gooey Snickers bars. They are especially delicious when camping & we are sitting around the campfire in the evenings.
I love sweets- no secret there. So these Snickers cake mix bars really fit the bill here. They take care of my craving for cake & chewy cookies but have the ease of not having to frost either one since the Snickers are in there.
You won’t believe just how EASY these are to make. You only need 4 ingredients – cake mix, snickers bars, evaporated milk & butter. That’s it! No eggs, flour or any of the other ingredients you would expect in the traditional baked treats. The prep time & bake time together is only 30 minutes which is why these are so great for those times when that craving really hits hard. I mean, it would take you longer to get to the drive-thru or corner store to pick up a dessert than it would for you to make these little bars of heaven. You just can’t go wrong. I sure hope you love these as much as our family does.
Thank you so much for spending some time with me today.
See you next time!
