What a difference a year makes: Part TWO.

Part TWO!

I wish I had a better “before” picture of my office. But, I’ll give ya what I have. šŸ™‚

This is the first room we tackled in our new home. I was so excited when I went away for the weekend and I got home to find that my husband had painted the room for me! What a great surprise! To those that missed the post about how we created this wall you can find it HERE.

Here it is when we put in our IKEA desk!

Here it is from another angle. šŸ™‚

The next room that has changed A LOT over the last year is my kitchen!

I took this one when we were moving in, so disregard the clutter.

Can you believe I dared to paint my wall ORANGE!?!? I was dying. I knew I wanted it, but when we started painting it on the wall, I started to freak out! As it dried and got a bit darker, I was soooo excited! This is definitely one of the “crowd pleasers” in my home. Everybody loves it!

If you missed the post about how I painted the swirls on the wall, go HERE.  My cute hubby did my back splash too! If you missed that post you can find it HERE.

My husband also installed cabinet door knobs and pulls. I didn’t realize how hard it was to open my cupboards until he installed these. It was especially hard when I was holding a child in one hand. So, that was a FANTASTIC addition!

Stay tuned for more photos!

  1. I actually just did some leaf stencils in my bedroom, thanks to you and your fabulous office! I'll have to email you pictures when the room is all finished. šŸ™‚

  2. I absolutely, 100%, completely love your kitchen!!! YOu've done an amazing job making it your own.

  3. LOVE the orange in the kitchen!! Would you be willing to share the name of that color? I want to paint my bathroom that color and orange is a hard color to pick! Thanks!!

  4. could I see more pictures of your kitchen table? Do you have a couch as a bench? I can't see it very well. I am trying to find a fun new way to fit more {little} people at my kitchen table. Thanks!
